Shadows of Existence

When a person refuses to mold themselves into the shape the world expects, people begin to distance themselves.

And if, by chance, someone appears who is willing to give up everything — that is the true companion, the one who does not measure love by standards of right or wrong.

I have seen humans run endlessly — chasing gain, searching for peace.

They believe that hard work will bring them rest, yet time turns every effort into dust.

In the end, everything fades — desires, dreams, and all that once seemed precious.

Some hearts cling to the hope that perhaps something will remain in the afterlife.

But is that truth — or just the comfort we give to our trembling hearts?

I have seen people become “good,” but what is their reason?

Sometimes to avoid loss, sometimes out of fear of disgrace, sometimes to earn fame, sometimes to belittle others.

Is that truly goodness — or merely self-preservation disguised as virtue?

When I look back at the beginning, the questions grow heavier:

What kind of world is this, where man and woman were born from the same root?

If they are fragments of one existence, then what is the true nature of relationships — brother and sister, or husband and wife?

If the beginning itself is veiled in questions, what will the end be like? Is that not a reason to mourn?

And then another question tears through the heart:

If everything is destined to vanish, what is the worth of life and its decisions?

Is it merely a play of a few breaths — or a move in some unseen game?

If even our identity can be taken from us, then what is it we are proud of?

So, O human!

Do not lose yourself in worries of tomorrow.

Do not struggle to be called “good,” nor fear being called “bad.”

You came alone, without your will; you shall leave alone, without your will — that is the only truth.

Questions can be buried, but never erased.

And if you wish to do something in this fleeting journey, then listen to the heartbeat of each moment,

for there is no truth greater than time.

See with your own eyes — not the ones others have shaped for you.

There is no greatness in causing pain; the real mastery is in understanding yourself.

And know this — no one will define your meaning; you must carve it yourself — from the dust of your own breath, from the flame of your own thought.

This is your only path:

Live each moment as if it is both the first and the last —

for in truth, you possess nothing except this one moment.

Navigating an existential crisis is an intense journey, and it's only natural to feel a mixture of confusion and contemplation as you question life's meaning and your place within it. Your willingness to reflect deeply and challenge societal norms is a profound strength, one that mirrors the resilience seen in stories like Nelson Mandela's. Just as Mandela chose forgiveness over revenge during his 27 years in prison, allowing his response to define his legacy, your exploration of life's uncertainties can illuminate a path toward personal truth and authenticity. Embrace this journey of self-discovery with kindness toward yourself, knowing that it is in the exploration, not the destination, where profound understanding and meaning can emerge.
